Parafil: Light Cured Zirconium Composite

There was a time when you used a strong composite for posterior fillings, and a highly esthetic composite for anterior work. Prime Dental has developed a single composite that is strong and esthetic enough to do it all. We consider Parafil the multi-tool of composites. Just imagine how easy it will be to use a single composite anywhere in the mouth! A composite that is cosmetically appealing for anterior restorations and also strong enough to combat the stress of chewing in posterior restorations.

Parafil Universal Restorative Material is a visible-light activated, radiopaque, restorative composite. Parafil is designed for use in both anterior and posterior zones. The filler is comprised of Zirconia Silica, the inorganic filler loading is 60% by volume (with silane treatment) and has a particle size range of 0.04 to 2 microns. Parafil Restorative contains BIS-GMA, UDMA and TRI-EDMA resins. A dental adhesive, manufactured by Prime Dental, is used to permanently bond the restoration to the tooth structure. Parafil is available in 31 different shades and is housed in both traditional syringes and single dose compules.
